Congressman Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) was a guest today (June 11, 2008) on Your World w/Neil Cavuto. Blumenauer was on to discuss, per the chyron, “Dems Block GOP Amendment to Drill Offshore for Oil.” Blumenauer followed John Peterson (R-PA) who appeared to discuss (also per the chyron), “Dems Block GOP Effort to Drill for Oil off U.S. Coast.” Far be it for one of Cavuto’s guests to try to talk about facts, especially if they make Republicans look bad. I doubt Blumenauer will be back because Cavuto seems to have taught him that Fox isn’t the place for such honesty.

He tried to set him up but Congressman Earl Blumenauer knew better. The reason there is no off shore drilling is because of the Republican Govs. End of story.
And those Govs can ask to have the laws changed. Have they?

I have $3,364 in Box 1 Ordinary business income (loss). A note that came with the K-1 states the following:
State Information-The partnership’s ordinary business income (loss) reported in Box 1 is derived from offshore federal leases located in the Gulf of Mexico, thus, the oil and gas business income (loss) is taxable only to the partner’s resident state.
My questions are: Does this mean that I don’t have to claim this income on my Federal Income Tax Return? How would I accomplish the removing of this income from my Tax Return?
